Program Announcement: As a celebration of Career Development month, we will turn our attention to our professional history to learn more about what has worked in the past and how we can prepare for our future.


Learning Objectives:
Session participants will have the opportunity to:

-       Understand the evolution of our field and the contribution of theorists both well-known and relatively unknown.

-         Become better prepared to appreciate what has worked in the past and how it my contribute to the future development of our professional identities.

-       Discuss challenges and lessons learned shared by other attendees and have the opportunity to share their relevant experiences in developing their professional identities.

 

Facilitator: David Harris, MTS, MS. currently serves as the President-elect for GCDA, having previously served as the President in 2008-9.  He brings over thirty years of professional management experience in large organizations along with his training and experience in career counseling.
