Join the GCDA Book Club to discuss Ask for It, by Linda Babcock and Sara Laschever.
Our discussion will focus on the final chapters, 13-15. We will discuss what we've learned and how we've changed our own approaches to asking for things, based on the recommendations in this book, as well as general closing thoughts. If you have not had a chance to read these chapters, or missed a few in the middle, no worries! Join us for the discussion on ways to ask for it going forward.
Registrants will be sent the zoom link the day prior to the meeting.

What is Calm Clarity?
Due Quach (pronounced "Zway Kwok") was selected to be our Keynote speaker because of her experience as a first-generation student at an elite college. She underwent trauma and isolation while at Harvard. Yet, she defied the odds with a career in Finance. She walked away to study mindfulness abroad and create Calm Clarity. Her Non-Profit Calm Clarity helps youth in Philadelphia learn to thrive despite their odds, and her Brain 3.0 model assists clients in moving from Brain 1.0Inner Godzilla, through Brian 2.0Teen Wolfto Brain 3.0Inner Sage.
We welcome those who work with first-generation students, immigrants, and refugees, as well as those working with professionals considering a career transition or struggling with career advancement, to join us. Her 2-hour presentation will involve hands-on practice of the Brain 3.0 technique.
